Assignment #5 - Portraits

-Grandpa-

A shining role model to me of always having good humor.... always.

-Keith-

Keith's wife. Elise, told me he was a former army ranger while he read the paper, which "he does every morning."
I thought that was really interesting and she helped me approach him about being the subject of some photos.
I began shooting him in natural light that was beautiful and soft...
not understanding what an army Ranger does/is.
I asked ignorant questions about "the army" and "what was Germany like?"
He then tells a story about training where two men were sent into a pit and were left there until one of them was unconscious. I quickly changed my lighting.

Intimidating.

Assignment #4 - Color

I loved this assignment because it challenged me a ton.
I liked keeping my eye out for yummy colors.  But I also second guessed myself a lot and probably
wasted precious time worrying about what was right?
This kept up right until the end as you can see since I posted lots.
I just never got any to sing the way I wanted them to.
I learned that I like to bracket but I need to go more to the extreme,
because I'm usually wishing I could see more.

HEEEEERE we go.

Assignment #3 - Reshoot

Okay.. so I promised a mind grenade.
Maybe not gonna blow your mind all over the room --BUT these are sooo much better than my last set.
I'm so happy I re-shot.
I still love love my tripod, and i discovered alot about white and what is truly white.

oh.. who cares what my camera thought - because it was cyan, and wrong.
It has lost it's right to an opinion.

Here was my only low-key worth talking about. :)

Assignment #3 - High Key / Low Key

I really loved this assignment. I felt like I just wanted to keep taking pictures. It was a great chance to get creative with how the picture turned out.
I think I'll continue keeping my eye out for more pictures and experiment more
with what I can say using these elements.
Oh and the other thing is.... I LOVE MY TRIPOD. It's the best ever ever ever ever ever ever.

that said -- this is what my camera liked.... yyyyuuuck -- okay they are just average looking.

 this was my favorite! ^^^
